The Plumb Line
AÂ quiet invitation to step away from the pace of everyday life, hear God's voice with fresh clarity, and return to alignment.
Sept. 25-27, 2026, Berkeley Lake, Georgia
Every season has its own pace. Some seasons ask us to build. Others invite us to pause long enough to hear clearly before we keep building.
If you’ve been carrying a business, a ministry, a dream, or simply the desire to walk more closely with God, The Plumbline is an invitation to exhale & return to alignment.
Limited to 10 women | Friday, 3:00 PM - Sunday, 1:00 PM
You might feel at home here if...
🌿 You're a woman of faith who longs to make room to hear God clearly.
🌿 You're faithfully stewarding a business, a book, a ministry, or a dream that is still taking shape.
🌿 You sense that success isn't simply about building something meaningful. It's also about staying close to the One who called you to build it.
🌿 You’re ready to step away from the pace of everyday life & spend a weekend surrounded by women who love Jesus & understand the weight of carrying something that matters.
🌿 You've been looking for a place where you don't have to perform, produce, or prove anything. You can simply arrive.
Whether you're leading something established or taking your very first step, we'd be honored to welcome you.
The Heart Behind The Plumbline
For most of my life, I built alongside my husband, Bob. He believed in me before I fully believed in myself, encouraged every dream God placed in my heart, & reminded me that my work mattered because it mattered to God.
After Bob went home to be with the Lord, I found myself wanting to offer other women the same kind of encouragement he so freely gave to me.
Women at the Gate was born from that desire. It is a place where women who are faithfully stewarding businesses, ministries, books, ideas, & Kingdom assignments. Around the table, we encourage one another & remember that we were never meant to carry these things alone.
The Plumbline Weekend is one expression of that heart. For one weekend, we step away from the pace of everyday life, open Scripture together, share meals around the table, enjoy quiet moments by the lake, & make room to hear God with fresh clarity.
My hope is that every women leaves rested, encouraged, & more deeply convinced that success was never meant to cost us intimacy with God.
A Weekend To Exhale
For one weekend, you don't have to plan the meals, manage the schedule, take care of everyone else, or carry the weight of holding everything together.
Arrive & we'll take care of the details so you can be fully present to whatever God has for you.
You'll find beautifully prepared meals aroudn the table, quiet morning with coffee overlooking the lake, meaningful conversations that unfold naturally, rich Biblically teaching, worship, & plenty of space to step out for a walk, sit with your journal, or simply enjoy the stillness.
Nothing is forced & you will not be called on to perform. Every part of the weekend has been planned with enough margin for you to respond to what the moment invites.
Some women may spend an afternoon talking with a new friend. Others may linger by the water with Scripture open in their lap. You may be inspired to open your laptop & write, while someone else may simply rest.
All of it belongs.
We don't want you to leave with a notebook of ideas...
Our hope is that you leave feeling rested enough to hear God clearly, encouraged enough to take your next step with confidence, & reminded that whatever God has called you to build should never require you to lose the very Presence that called you there.
The Weekend Journey
We believe God often does His deepest work when we make room to slow down.
That’s why every part of this weekend has been planned with intention. The teaching sessions matter, but so do the conversations around the table, the quiet walks by the lake, the laughter between new friends, and the moments when no one is asking anything of you.
Our prayer is that you’ll leave with more than notes in a journal. We hope you’ll leave with a renewed sense of clarity, courage, and alignment for whatever God has entrusted to your hands.
Here’s a look at the journey we’ll take together.
Â
FRIDAY
The first afternoon isn’t about jumping into a schedule. It’s about giving yourself permission to settle in.
Come in whatever makes you feel comfortable. Life asks a lot of us, and most of us arrive after finishing work, wrapping up responsibilities at home, answering one last email, or making sure everyone else is taken care of before we leave. We don’t expect you to flip a switch the moment you pull into the driveway.
Friday afternoon is simply an invitation to slow your pace, take a deep breath, and let yourself arrive.
Â
3:00–5:00 PM | Arrival & Welcome
Check in anytime between 3:00 and 5:00 PM, settle into your room, and enjoy coffee, tea, and a beautiful charcuterie spread as everyone arrives. You can explore the property, meet the women you’ll spend the weekend with, or find a quiet place by the lake before we gather for dinner.
Â
5:30 PM | Dinner Together
We’ll gather around the table for our first meal together. There’s nothing formal about the evening, just good food, meaningful conversation, and the beginning of new friendships. It’s the kind of dinner where everyone is welcome, no one has to impress anyone, and you’re free to simply enjoy being here.
Â
7:00 PM | Returning to AlignmentÂ
In Amos 7, God gives the prophet Amos a vision of a plumb line, an ordinary tool that becomes the centerpiece of an extraordinary conversation. As we open the weekend together, we’ll begin discovering why this ancient image still speaks so powerfully today and how it invites each of us to return to a life built in alignment with God.
Â
8:30 PM | Fireside Gathering
Some of the sweetest moments of the weekend aren’t planned. We’ll gather around the fire, reflect on the evening, and enjoy whatever the night brings. Sometimes that looks like meaningful conversation, sometimes quiet prayer, and sometimes simply sitting together under the stars.
If your day feels complete, you’re welcome to head back to your room whenever you’re ready. If you’d rather linger by the fire a little longer, we’d love that too. We want you to end the evening in whatever way leaves you feeling rested and ready for the day ahead.
Â
SATURDAYÂ MORNING
After a restful evening and a slower start to the day, we’ll begin exploring the biblical foundation behind The Plumbline. Together we’ll look at the remarkable vision God gave Amos and discover why it still speaks so powerfully today. As we open Scripture together, our prayer is that each woman leaves with a clearer understanding of God’s unchanging character and a renewed confidence in the life He is inviting her to build.
The property offers plenty of room to breathe, with outdoor spaces, walking trails, a swimming pool overlooking the lake, & quiet places to enjoy the morning at your own pace before and between our gatherings.
Â
6:00–9:15 AM | Breakfast
Coffee, tea, and a freshly prepared breakfast will be available throughout the morning. Enjoy breakfast whenever you’d like, whether that means lingering over a quiet cup of coffee, taking a walk by the lake first, or sharing a table with new friends before we gather for our first session.
Â
9:30—11:00 AM | Session One: The Standard Has Not Moved
We’ll take a deeper look at the vision of the plumb line in Amos 7 and explore what it reveals about God’s character, His standard, and His invitation to alignment. This session lays the biblical foundation for the rest of the weekend and invites each of us to consider what it means to build a life that is true to the One who designed it.
Â
11:00 AM | Alignment Circles
After our teaching session, we’ll gather in small groups to continue the conversation. These circles create space to process what you’ve heard, ask questions, encourage one another, and receive prayer if you’d like it.
Â
12:00 PM | Lunch + Free Time
We’ll gather around the table again for lunch before moving into the afternoon together.
Â
SATURDAY AFTERNOON
As the weekend unfolds, we’ll begin turning what we’ve discovered in Scripture toward the lives we’ve been entrusted to live. Whether you’re leading a business, writing a book, serving your family, or simply seeking clarity for what’s next, the invitation is the same: to build from a place of alignment rather than striving.
There will be time to learn together, time to reflect, and time to simply be. We believe some of God’s clearest invitations are heard when there is enough margin to notice them.
Â
2:00 PM | Session Two: Building in Alignment
We’ll continue exploring what it looks like to build a life that reflects God’s heart and remains steady through every season. Together we’ll consider practical ways to carry the principles of alignment into our everyday decisions, relationships, work, and calling.
Â
3:30 PM | Sacred Margin
One of the most meaningful parts of the weekend is the space we’ve intentionally left unplanned.
Spend this time however it serves you best. Journal on the patio, take a walk along the trails, rest in your room, pray by the lake, or simply enjoy being still for a while. If you’d like to meet one-on-one with Kay or a member of our team, that opportunity will be available as well.
Don’t feel like you have to fill this time. It was intentionally left open for you.
Â
6:00 PM | Dinner Together
We’ll gather promptly at 6:00 PM for a beautifully prepared dinner around the table. Before we meet, you’ll have time to return to your room, freshen up, rest, or simply enjoy a few quiet moments before the evening begins.
This is our celebration dinner, a chance to enjoy an exceptional meal, linger over meaningful conversation, laugh together, and celebrate what God has been unfolding throughout the weekend. We hope it’s one of those evenings you’ll remember long after the retreat has ended.
Â
7:30 PM | Stories from the Journey
There’s something powerful about hearing what God has done in someone else’s life. We’ll spend the evening sharing stories, worshipping together, and making space for prayer, encouragement, and whatever God may have in store. Some of the sweetest moments of the weekend aren’t planned, and we want to leave room for those too.
Â
SUNDAY MORNING
Every retreat eventually comes to an end, but our hope is that what God begins here continues long after you return home.
This final morning is about looking ahead. We’ll gather one last time to reflect on what God has been speaking throughout the weekend, consider what it looks like to walk in alignment in everyday life, and pray over one another before we leave. Our desire isn’t simply that you enjoyed a meaningful weekend, but that you leave with greater clarity, renewed courage, and confidence in what God has entrusted to your hands.
Â
6:00–9:00 AM | Breakfast
Coffee, tea, and a light breakfast will be available early for those who enjoy a slower start to the day. Spend the morning however you’d like before we gather for our final session.
Â
9:00 AM | Final Session: StandÂ
We’ll end the weekend together by exploring what it looks like to continue walking in alignment long after the retreat has ended. Together we’ll consider how to remain faithful to what God has revealed and carry it into the places He has called us to live, work, lead, and serve.
Â
10:30 AM | Celebration Brunch
We’ll gather around the table one last time to enjoy brunch together, celebrating all God has done throughout the weekend and the friendships that have been formed along the way.
Â
12:00—12:30 PM | Blessing & CommissioningÂ
We’ll close our time together with a blessing over every woman, an opportunity to share Communion for those who wish to participate, and a commissioning prayer as we prepare to return home.
Â
1:00 PM | DepartureÂ
Take your time gathering your things, saying goodbye, and heading home. We pray you leave rested, encouraged, and ready to continue building a life that remains aligned with the One who designed it.
